side effects to birth control

Dear Doc,
I have never been on birth control before and I am not currently sexually active but I am about to get married so I figured I had better figure out what birth control I want to take but after four days on yaz I had strange symptoms that kept getting worse. Right away i got dry itchy skin that was very irritable and resembled a heat rash whenever I brushed up against something. then I got an abscess on the under side of my breast and the next day I found one inside my labia just in the begining phases. I had them when I was younger and going through puberty and I know what they look and feel like when they are just starting. The last straw was when I noticed swollen lymph nodes on the back of my neck and on my upper back. I stopped right away and all symtoms dissapeared within two days. I called my doctor as soon as the holiday weekend was over and by the time she got me in( which was later on in the week) my symptoms were mostly cleared up and there was nothing to show her. She didn't seem to believe me and said that these symptoms were unrelated completely to birth control but it all happened at the same time and cleared up when I stopped. Now I am really afraid to start birth control again. Also, when I was younger and I got abscesses i went to the infectious disease doctor who told me that they were mostly caused by horomones and friction from underwear. She also said that i would get them again whenever I was pregnant and that they would be worse. I can't seem to find any literature about the connection of birth control to abscesses. Am I the only one who has experienced these and what kind of doctor should I be seeing.
