Its is so hard to quit I quit with my first before I found out thankful for that my second I quit as soon as I found out. This time its so hard. I should have never started up again. I wrote down all the reasons why I should quit and every time I want to smoke I read over them. I eat a lot of candy too. I know its possible and its hard keep trying and good luck!
Since your still early in your pregnancy, I believe quitting cold turkey would not affect the baby at this point. Definately talk to your doctor though to confirm this. Congrats on cutting down. Every one less you smoke helps :)
It's hard! I quit with my first one and I'm now 7 weeks and quit again a few days ago. The cravings are almost unbearable but the way I did it was I just stopped buying them. Sure I have plenty of friends and family I could bum from but they know my situation so I bum rarely. The first day I just smoked as normal, and I cut down from there. I broke down yesterday and had two drags of one from a friend and that was it. The benefits to quiting are so worth it that it should be the only option BUT don't best your self up! do your best cut down to one or two a day. Keep hats candy with you...and remember when your belt gets big your not gunna want to have people see you smoke, it's embarrassing (trust me) so do your best now and don't give up!
I quit cold turkey at 8 weeks I am now 14 weeks and 4 days with I healthy baby, out won't hurt the baby. Congrats on cutting back it is ridiculously hard!! My boyfriend and all my friends smoke so im around it constantly! They say it gets easier but honestly it hasn't yet. Every time I want a cigarette I imagine a newborn smoking a cigarette and find something to do to keep my mind occupied. I have a huge book of "find a word" puzzles and I work on those until the craving goes down, I also eat shelled nuts when I have a craving. Doing pregnancy yoga can help with stress. Best of luck mama to be :) it will all work out just stop stressing because that isnt goood for the baby
