I quit cold turkey when i found out i was pregnant. i didnt find out til i was 10 weeks but the moment i found out i smoked one last cigarette and threw the rest out the window. Personally the thought of what it could do to my baby made me quit right then. but best of luck to all mommies who have quit and who are trying to quit.
Seriously that is a very selfish thing to do smoking and compromising the health of your baby. Not every one may luck out. You also don't know about the long term effects. That's putting your priorities out of order
Well, if there are no other outliers it is easy to assume, but you are correct that it is not 100%. I study epidemiology and while asthma can be inherited we know that it is generally brought on by environmental factors.. meaning the world around us/the home we live in/and what we put in our bodies. Further, smoking tobacco has a 30% likelihood of creating dependency. Cocoaine has 20-25 & marijuana has 9-10%. Meaning likely the fetus will also be addicted to the nicotine & be very uncomfortable going through withdrawals. It's truly your body your choice.. I'm just telling you things I've studied at a top research Institute (not online). Like I said, I know one woman who smoked and does not notice any difference in her son yet.
Thank you all for you all for your stories makes me feel alot better i will let you know if mt baby girl comes out ok
My mum smoked a lot when she was pregnant with me and I have pretty bad asthma but that could have also been caused by the alcohol and drugs she had aswell, I weighed around 5lbs and was in an incubator for a few days. As soon as I found out I was pregnant I quit smoking straight away, I think I've caved in 3 times in 5 weeks. Just thought I'd share
Just a question out of curiosity, Do the ladies that smoke cigarettes also find marijuana ok? I was able to quit cigarettes cold turkey but it took me about 4 months to kick the bud. Just wanna know your your thoughts about the differences and if your opposed to one or the other?
