I would say any smoke inhalation is bad for mum let alone unborn baby growing inside of you. each to their own though...I wont judge my sis in law would smoke and she cough soo hard her stomach would tighten and tense but she continue too her boy has breathing problems..asthma tho no one else in her family has asthma so I dont know how he got it.

I did til I was 30 weeks. And quit because in new york they drug test baby after they are born. Been clean almost 3 months now so my baby should test fine. And honestly. It wasn't that hard to quit.

I personally don't understand why anyone would risk it. There's so many studies saying so many different things. If there's even a slight risk that something could harm my baby I would not chance it, the guilt I'd feel if something did go wrong would haunt me forever

I smoked with my 2nd pregnancy just to help with my morning sickness but my baby was fine. I continued to smoke after having her she is now 3 yrs old now I'm 17 weeks pregnant with my 3rd and I don't smoke anymore this pregnancy made me quit cold turkey because the smell of weed now makes me sick. I'm kind of glad I don't smoke anymore I'm 29 and I have been smoking since I was 19 and I was a heavy smoker so I'm proud of myself :-) people ask do I miss it and honestly I don't.

I believe that it WILL harm the baby or that it could at least potentially harm the baby.  The average mom wouldn't even participate in a study where she would smoke marijuana while pregnant.  I am sure there are moms who have smoked and their babies were fine but there are no guarantees.  To me, it's like putting a joint or cigarette in your baby's hands.

I know 2 people who smoked while pregnant due to morning sickness and it helped them a lot. And both of there children were perfectly healthy. But yah I would be worried about them testing the baby after he was born.

I stopped when I found out I was pregnant. I looked up the risks and even though many people say it doesn't harm the baby, there are many that say it does. So i'm not sure what to believe . I just felt if I continued I was being an unfit mother.

I havent personally, but I have done lots of research on the health effects. Aside from that, know your states laws about it. In illinois, they test the baby at birth and if he/comes back positive its an automatic call to childrens services.
