It's extremely rude to throw the risks in someone's face to make them feel guilty when they are asking for advice. She asked for help not to make her feel like she is doing something terrible or what it could do to her baby. I honestly know more women who smoked while pregnant than ones that didn't and not a single complication. Of course there are risks but there are risks in anything you do while pregnant unless your literally living in a bubble eating 3 very healthy meals a day. As long as you have the will to quit and are trying is all that matters. And honestly if you can't, the stress is and lot worse on your baby and that is and fact. Every one is different just because so and so quit cold turkey over night does not mean it's easy or that you can. I wish you the best of luck but don't let anyone put you down.

Everybody deals with addiction differently some addictions are stronger than others and some can just be dropped like I said I've been smoking since I was 12 weed and cigarettes im able to put down the weed cigarettes on the other hand is a issue. Now Iddon't mean no offense but that its easier said than done and its not right to go judging ppl because of there pproblems some ppl may not have had the support u had everyone situation is different and im sorry but if you were able to quit cold turkey than you were never an addict you were always able to quit u just didn't because u thought u didn't have a reason to and that's what u wanted to do addicts struggle thats why its called an addiction.

I smoked for 5 years, I'm an alcoholic,  and ex drug addict. I don't do any of that stuff since I found out I was pregnant. If anyone knows about addiction it's me.

If the health of your baby isn't enough motivation then .... no comment.

I just can see how she feels cause im 17 weeks and although I try I haven't completely come off of smoking either I probably smoke maybe one or two cigarettes a week but its really hard im just beginning to cut back ive been smoking every since I was 12 yrs. Old so I know for a fact it ain't easy to just quit but this is supposed to be a forum for help and fun and most of the time all I see is judging and ppl putting other ppl down for whatever reason

I agree with Sammy it isn't as easy as it seems and it's way easier said than done. My cousin smoked the whole time she was pregnant, she had cut back tremendously but she just couldn't fully quit and her baby is just as healthy and happy as a non smokers baby. I had quit a month before I found out I was pregnant simply because of a chest cold, but when I hit 7 months I started stressing over money, bills, me and the hubby started fighting every day and I thought I was gonna be a single mom and I had started back smokin one or 2 a day after doing so good for 7 months. All of us moms know the risks and side effects that smoking causes, but it's extremely hard when you've relied on that feeling you get when you do it for so long.  I applaud you for deciding to quit though! :) I haven't smoked one in a while and I don't intend to. Good luck! :)
