I was told my daughter was 10 pounds on her last ultrasound, she was born 7.5 punds. So they can be off
i am 5 foot 3 but pretty bad overweight right now. i think i can do it its them im worried about doubting me
I had a late ultrasound and they were off by a pound, nothing too severe. She was a 10 pound baby and I had her naturally. I am a large woman...meaning almost 6 ft so that probably made a difference. Are you really small framed? If not I would think you could deliver. Now, if your 5ft and tiny, I would say you may have complications.
also my last baby 21 months ago was only 8lbs even
im on insuline 4 times a day. i go to the doctor mondays and thursdays and do nst or monitering. i dont want them to try to do a c section they start swaying that way at estimates of 10 plus pounds.
My first question for you is, is your GD diet controlled or insulin controlled? Also, are you going in twice a month to have the baby monitored by heart rate and movement as well as u/s every week to monitor baby? They did this with my son since I had GD. They also tried to make me deliver at 38 wks because of the GD and I told the Dr no way I wasn't ready. I pushed and pushed until I was 39 wks and 1 day and then she said I had to be induced. They tried to say he would be too large and over 9 lbs but after hours of hard induced labor I had a perfectly healthy 7lb 4 oz baby boy... not big at all! Hope that helps some.
I was told my daughter was measuring 3 weeks behind and would only be about 4.5-5 lbs at birth. She ended weighting more than my first at one ounce less than 7 lbs. Ultrasounds in late pregnancy aren't very accurate since the baby is so balled up its hard to measure them.
They can be off by a few pounds! I've known women who were told it was a ten pound baby but they had a six pound baby
