Do you still want to try to breastdeed? If you do, eating a bowl of oatmeal everyday is supposed to help with milk production. If not, wearing cabbage leaves inside your bra dries up the milk (its the sulfer in the cabbage that does it). You will have to wear the leaves for about a week or so.
Is their any way you can get a electical pump. That would help you out a lot because I had the same trouble I gave birth to my son on march 4 and WIC let me borrow the pump and its worked so much.
Try putting a heating pad on your breasts, once you stop breastfeeding they trend to hurt for a week or two until it dries up and you stop producing
If you get milk out and it looks pink go to the doctor
Theres no lumps. Just really painful, ive tried taking a hot shower to help the pain, doesnt help much. & ive tried pumping, some comes out, but not enough to feed my son.
If they are sore and super hard then they are still producing milk. I would always stand in a hot shower and massage my boobs, then would pump or try to feed. That's when I would get the most and it expressed much easier that way. Are you able to express any milk at all by hand?
I was told that even though you aren't producing milk right now, to put the baby to the breast and let him/her suck and that should help stimulate your breast helping produce milk.
Most likely. . Try to take a hot shower to reduce the pain if there are lumps talk to your ON could have mastitis which is incredibly painful!
