I'm hoping to find one before Christmas, I'm dying to know something.
These people are nuts! How unprofessional! Man, I sure hope you are able to find someone else and FAST!
I called them back today and said they I was not paying it as someone called and cancelled they then claimed that they left me a message it wasn't cancelled.. my cell phone is practically glued to me.. i know thats BS
I would most definitely NOT pay that. I'm sorry this is happening to you, girl. I'd let them know you are NOT dumb and will not tolerate this!
I would be calling them back and telling them that they called and cancelled it. I would also walk in there and tell them your there for the appointment. See what they say then.
I would definitely fight paying for that.. why would someone call to cancel it.
this situation just keeps getting worst
OMG GRRRRRRR my Dr's office just called and said I missed my appointment and there's a $50 charge! Yet someone called yesterday and said it was cancelled.
I've gone to the clinic 3 times in hopes for a referrel and they keep givin me the health care connect number :( I think when I get the time I'm just going to go to the ER.. It's hard though with a 2 yr old because i can't take him with me that's not fair to him
You could go the er. Im in canada too and i went in for back pain and got an us done. Tell them what is happening and that your doctor is unavailable its worth the wait. The er keeps a list of family doctors accepting new patients. Generally walk in clinics will have a family doctor they will a refer ppl to if needed. Thats how i got mine..
I have decided I'm just going to give up on this Dr and start my hunt for a new one. I'm going to call health connect tomorrow (the people who are looking for a dr for me) and tell them I'm pregnant and need it done quicker.
Oh :( I'm sorry to hear. That must be very frustrating for you. I hope you can get your doctor to better communicate with you!
I don't have a GP, unfortunetly due to health reasons he had to retire early. I'm on the waiting list for a new one but that can take some time.
Wow, things sure are different in Canada! I'm in the U.S. and it's just so different. I'm so sorry you're going through that! Perhaps your primary care doctor can make you a referral to another OB?? That's sure a long time to wait, especially with your history. Best wishes.
1 - Dr's here don't have an RN working for them
2 - They also don't have a partner, if your OB is off when you go into labour that hospitals on call Dr delivers the baby and
3 - My Dr won't write a requisition for blood work without see the patient.
His schedule consists of 2 days a month!!! I could go every other week if I wanted to but, that's almost useless to me.
You should ask if they will check your levels before Dr appt and you can also leave your questions with the RN and have her get back to you on the phone. Another thought is to ask if you can have an appt with one of his partners. If you keep calling and bugging them then they will more than likely find a place to fit you in to his schedule.
Oh I know that about m/c's but there's just questions I want to ask about some things that are going on. And I want my levels checked.
So sorry to hear this. I have to wait til i'm 11w6d before my first appt. It's frustrating. They told me today that if I m/c there's not a thing in the world anyone could do. It's just nature. Best of luck to you!
