I was going to rent a pavilion and do mine at the lakefront in florida.. but my cousin (that originally was to throw me my baby shower) decided a couple days before to have her babys birthday at the same place and time of my baby shower and tgen I figured screw it since its always so hot there that'd I'd have it down the street at my grandmas house so we wouldn't be in the sun and it did end up pouring anyways and my grandma also has a very small house but it worked out just fine! Planning your own baby shower days before is not fun and very stressful I know that!!!
Yeah you can probably look for a cheap decent hotel, mine is next Saturday at a Marriot, but I know someone who works there so I got a deal, but they let you bring your own food & its not a ball room its a smaller room, or maybe you could try doing it on sunday if it'll be a nicer day? Sorry to hear that though I know it's really stressful :/
I have a small house and was going to do a park and whatnot but like I said there's supposed to be a thunderstorms that day /:
That's not true everywhere. My friends baby shower was at a hotel & we brought in the food. It was not a ballroom & she paid under $150(don't remember the exact price). I'm talking about a Hampton Inn type hotel not a Ritz Carlton. Won't hurt to call around & see. Also sometimes nice apartment complexes have community clubhouses that they rent out for a good price.
I feel ackward now because I booked a pavillion at a park near where I live about a month and a half ago for my wedding on the 30th. :/
If you're on a budget, I strongly suggest doing it at your house or a family friend's house. If that doesn't work, go to the park! I had mine at the park & it was great! The thing with booking with hotels is that you must reserve the whole ball room and plus order food from them too. It costs $500 and up. Much cheaper if you have a free place and just make your own food.
Could you have it at your house?? ..
Baby showers aren't regular here but I've been to two and both were in house's :/
or is that not ok?
They're usually not very costly. Call around
But money is a big issue lol we don't have very much to spend on the location):
You can check hotels in your area. They usually have nice, big conference rooms for a decent price that you can transform. I've been to several baby showers at hotels.
