The amount of tea being consumed can be a contributor of weight gain based on empty calories and zero nutrional value. The corn syrup is a sweetner that is proving to have ill effects in non-pregnant women. Finally one of the most difficult things I am finding in my experience is getting in enough water. Tea has caffein which causes dehydration and counter productive to staying hydrated. I agree with the previous poster that making your own, consider decaf, may offer you the same option of having sweet tea but with the amount of natural sugar controlled. All the best!!!

There is research that kids whose moms drink a lot of sweetened drinks when pregnant, are at more risk later for diabetes.  The sweetened iced tea at McDonald's is so sweet that it can be cut in half (with the unsweetened) and still tastes perfectly good.

I drink it when I go to mcdonalds and chickfila, my baby's fine. But you can always ask your doctor as well just to check.

It's pretty full of corn syrup.  You might try asking for it half-cut (in other words, half unsweetened and half sweet.)  It also has a lot of caffeine, too, even when half cut, so don't drink it that often.
