OPK vs. Fertility Monitor

What do you all think? Are OPK better than monitors or vice versa? I'm thinking of getting one and all opinions will be appreciated! Thanks

Hiya i bought my monitor of ebay.i paid £65 in shops it retails for £80-£90 i bought some ovulation test strips from ebay also but i think they rubbish i use,the clearblue ones that give you the smiley face.i use both,as since my mc my cycle was everywhere the monitor is not meant to be used until your cycle becomes regular again, since its use is to accurately store your cycle history then can identify high and peak days.my bathroom cabinet looks like a chemist i have alot of ov sticks so use them also,as well as that because you use the monitor first thing,it dont detect your surge, for example i use monitor about 7am each day, then days leading to ov i use ov tests in the afternoon after 2pm,that way i catch my surge on way up,since the egg is only viable for up to 12hours.most women will do ov test one day next be neg i have 2-3 days positive,

Any reason you use both? Or is it just be to be extra sure? The tests are actually cheaper on ebay, which is nice so I may go that route! Thanks for your help!

Hi there i use both, the clearblue fertility monitor, and the ov sticks.the monitor is expensive initally, but then the sticks are same price each month, difference being the monitor detects 5-6 days of high fertility, wheres the ovulation tests only give you warning of ov within 36 hours.i actually prefer the monitor, you have to be constant with it,and use first wee same time every day..best of luck.
