You can't go off of what ANYBODY tells you!!!!! Everyone had a different labor and no one labor even if its by the same person is alike!!!! The only thing g you can do with the stories people tell you is just read them and realise your labor could be almost pain free.,....it could be the worst pain ever......it could last for days.....or only a couple hours ......but just go into it with an open mind that you can do it no matter how it is....its for your child and our bodies are made to do this.........BUT anyways...lol..... good luck and I hope you have an easy labor with a great experience :)
Everyones labor experiences are different like with my daughter it was easy but I been with two of my girlfriends and even theirs have been different but at the end of the day you hve ur bby and really forget about the pain just have ti wait n see I guess
I do wish I just finished natural. but I guess my body just wanted so relaxing time to progress. But I believe what ever gets you ur healthy baby then do it.
I don't think it's as bad as some people say, but I have a high pain tolerance. My fiance still laughs at me cuz I was joking in between pushing. I had to get induced with my first I was in labor for 14hrs. I was set on a natural birth, but after 8 hrs I was only 4 cm and I needed a nap. I won't lie contractions are painful haha. But they felt like bad period cramps to me. So I got the epidural, took a nap woke up with the feeling I had to poop BAD! Haha and bam it was from the baby coming.
It was a horrible experience for me but i have a low pain tolerence. As soon as my water broke i was lucky if i could breathe during my contractions and then when we arrived at 11:30am i was stuck in triage until 7pm because all of the rooms were full so i had to wait for one to open. I got my epidural around 7:30 when my contractions were every 30 seconds apart and had my son at 8:44. I had to have an episiotomy so im glad i got it but i could of made it the last hr without it. I didnt get feeling back till the next night and it made pushing really hard since i couldnt feel and didnt know if i was doing anything. Im 25+1 and im thinking about not doing the epidural this time since i know i can go so long without it. Its different for everyone. Ive even heard for some its hardly painfull
I agree with the gator^^ this is my third and my mom thinks I'm nuts going for three natural childbirths because of how much pain I was in. But after all of that I think I gave my babes the best start possible. And I am one bad beyotch for doing it naturally! Lol but no judgement for those who opt for an epidural. I think all mommies are strong no matter how they deliver!!
I agree with above. Nothing can fully prepare you for labor. This will be my fourth pregnancy and I'm not scared to deliver more anxious. Our body's were made to do this :) and your a hell of a lot stronger than you think!
Im not going to lie it's the worst pain I have ever experienced but when it's all said and done you don't Care or even remember how truly painful it actually is. I went 24 hr Labour for my daughter who is now 3 and ended with C section and my son who is 15 months 9 hrs but C section again but I would have given anything to beable to have had them vaginally cause the experience is different. I am 28 wks 3 days pregnant and I have to have a scheduled C section but I would gladly go through all the pain in order to vaginally deliver my baby so I say enjoy every minute of being able to see ur baby being delivered and being put on ur chest cause not all of us get to experience that. And remember there is always the epidural lol :-)
Right... some people may disagree with me but I am not worried about childbirth because I truly believe that the western world has hyped it up to be more than it is, if you think about it, women in tribes in south America and Africa etc, give birth without any medication and on their own, sure it hurts but they deliver their own baby without a midwife or anything. Over the other side of the world, however, women are so scared that they get every type of drug available. It may hurt but someone telling you that it's the worst pain ever is not gonna help you in any way. If I was you I'd relax and breathe right and stay in an upright position.. it'll speed up labour and make it a whole load easier. Good luck :)
