weird question! if i just turned 38 weeks, does it mean that im 37 weeks and 6 days?

here is weird question, but needing some answers!!
so im getting a scheduled c-section on september 25th , ill just turn 39 weeks.
niw this is where i think it gets tricky ...... does it mean that i just turned 39 weeks, but i havent done all of my 39 week ( completeted 7 days) so that im really 39 ?
im trying to figure out if , i should wait longer than my scheduled c-section?

im confused, when you really think about it , it makes no sense at times, for example , i just turn 38 weeks, it means i havent started my 38 th week yet , therefore , i should wait until im really 38 weeks and 6 days to make the 38th week official ...right?
so if im induced at 39 weeks, shuldnt i wait until 39 week and 6 days as well ??

i know it sounds weird , but what are ur thoughts about that?

thank you ladies

Example:  (i'll use my recent pregnancy)

September 3rd I hit 39 weeks so..
September 4th was 39 wks 1 day
September 5th was 39 wks 2 days
September 6th was 39 wks 3 days
September 7th was 39 wks 4 days
September 8th was 39 wks 5 days
September 9th was 39 wks 6 days
September 10th was a full 40 weeks (my due date)

Hope this helps.

BTW I see no reason to reschedule your c-section

If you are 38 weeks now, then you are in your 39th week.  If you are having your c-section at 39 weeks, you WOULD have been entering your 40th week.

Your weeks start at the beginning, not at the end of each week.
