Getting the tattoo is one thing when it's healing is when the baby can get an infection from it, up to you tho your choice

Most places will not do it due to the risks.  You should ALWAYS ask your doctor before something like that rather than just deciding on our own.  good luck

I don't understand how an adrenalin rush will hurt the baby?? I get anxiety attacks and I run and hike and I'm constantly getting them before I hike because of how excited I am and my baby is perfectly fine so that makes no sence at all. I'm sorry I've never seen so many mean women getting butthurt over a quick question. But everyone has their say of course. Just if you have any more questions I can send you some links to the articles I've read and make your decision if you haven't already :)

Yes you can. I've read plenty of articles on it and if you trust your artist then yes. I thought about getting one myself butttt it's really hard to find someone who will do it while your prego. So personaly I say if you trust the person tattooing you and they know what's in the ink they're using and obviously use New needles than yea go ahead! I've met plenty of women who get tattoos while prego and they didn't have a problem at all during pregnancy. Just ya know take extra precautions and it's a cool way to find out what they tattoo you with lol :)

Depends on placement and size. I got one when I was 24 weeks. It's smaller than a quarter, took less than 15 minutes, and on a place that didn't hurt at all. My long time tattooist knows that I take very good care of my tattoos and I know he uses only sterile equipment. I was more likely to get infected by scraping my knee than getting a tattoo from him. Also, he said that the minimal amount of ink that he put into my skin, would be diluted and non-existent by the time it reached the placenta. It was also so small that it healed completely in 2 days.

My baby is perfectly healthy now.

So i would say no, don't get a tattoo unless you know your artist and your body. And don't get a big one that would put in a lot of ink.

No, but it is fine while your breastfeeding as long as the place you're going has everything sterilized. I got one while I was breastfeeding 5 days after I had my son and I did confirm with the hospital nurses/doctors and my routine ob doctor! It's more the risk of infection than anything.

Also, doctors told me that too.

Definately not! I was told by a tattooist/piercer that if your pregnant and get a tattoo, you can get really bad infections that can spread to the baby. Waiting will be well worth it.

I was all set to get one on my birthday and had already put down my deposit and everything, that day was the day I went to the doctor and found out I was pregnant and my artist refused. if you have a good tattoo artist they'll refuse even if you decide to go against the advice not to. the adrenaline rush of getting the tattoo can be very harmful to the baby and why would you want to risk the health of your unborn child?

No, and if you're breast feeding no. There is a lot that can go wrong, not to mention, no artist will tattoo a pregnant lady. I went in with my sister when i was 6 months *sister was gettin tat not me* he thought it was for me and said no.

Why not just wait till after?

They suggest not to for above reasons but if you are set on it I recommend being in the second trimester as your baby's bones, muscles and nerve are formed and shouldn't be too much stress on you or bub but then again I wouldn't go getting something huge that will take hours! You will also find it very difficult to find a artist that will tattoo a pregnant woman anyway

No. Mostly because it is likely to cause your body to go into labor due to the shock

No.
It puts too much stress on the baby. And the risk of infection is pretty high
