the flu
has any preggo mommies had the flu? and did u feel like u were dying! im seriously going crazy!!! runny nose, coughing,chest congestion! ugh its *****!!!!! i know we can only take tylenol but i fear taking too much may cause harm to baby!
I'm sick right now, and I'm almost 17 weeks. I'm taking sudafed and delsym. It seems to be helping some.

Bri_1985 - omg im sorry to hear that! i dont think i have pneumonia. if i did i probably wouldnt be talking to u. but yeah my nose gets so clogged up it hurts to blow it anymore since its so rashy.. thank god the doctors were able to help u. being pregnant and with pneumonia couldve killed u! thats really scary!

I didnt get the flu while pregnant but with my third pregnancy I did get pneumonia for the first time and yes I did feel like I was dying. I couldnt breathe and everytime I tried it felt like something would constrict even tighter to make it harder for the next breath. My hubby was terrified and in tears while the ER tried finding out wtf was going on. They took XRAYS right off but while waiting for results they did A LOT of bloodwork and tests including a test for swine flu where they had to swab my nose - THAT hurt soooooo much I about passed out from crying so hard from it and not being able to breathe.
When it was confirmed I had pnuemonia they gave me a heavy dose of antibiotics and pain killer that helped me sleep. I was in the hospital for 3 days and off work a week. Its insane how much worse illnesses are when we're pregnant. Because I got pneumonia again last year and it wasnt nearly as bad.

I was last week and I'm 5 months whatever you do don't take aleeve I did on accident and that one your not suppose to take. My doctor said most cold medicines are okay like mucinex and tylenol.
im taking the liquid and for drowsiness. and i wake up at night with a clogged up nostril! it does not let me sleep for anything in the world!!
I was sick during Thanksgiving I couldnt get out of bed for like 3 days I did take tyenol cold and flu medicine it did help and all I did was sleep
