Anyone can have a natural birth if you keep your mind to it. Yes the contractions are bad but it is an amazing process to feel. :)
Epadural will b ur friend:-) i tried with out epadural until i couldnt take the pains anymore thats when i asked for it.. I was in labor for 30 hrs
When I got my first baby, I was terrified of the contractions. After I held the baby in my arms, I immediately forgot about the pain. You'll make it. God bless
You will be fine. You just need to try and make labour an enjoyable and calm experience. For me what helps is reading. I love reading and when I read I can go into my own world. By reading through the earlier part of labour I was able to stay calm and manage the contractions. As the contractions get more painful you could talk between them to your partner to calm you back down. Breathing in gas and air can help give you something to focus on as well as pain relief during the contractions. This might all sound simple and also ridiculous but it can help. I was lucky and had two short labours but my 2nd I had spd which kills when you are having contractions. Also try and find humour in everything during labor. If you are happy and laughing your body produces a hormone/chemical that can if not numb pain make it easier to cope with. Sorry this is so long. Lol. Also if it helps dispell fear I'm 22weeks with my 3rd and I'm actually looking forward to labour. Lol x
I have had three natural vagina births.. no tearing and all my babies were BIG but Labour is not that bad yeah it hurts like hell and there's no pain that you will experience like it but like @doulamommy said as soon as that babies out the pain is instantly gone.. Like it just disappears.. I would compare my contractions to every extreme menstrual cramps the hospital I was at didn't have a bath but sitting in the shower with the water on my back helped alot and I would compare pushing to (tmi here) taking the biggest poop of your life and once your pushing its like your body takes over and you can't stop pushing and then before you know it the baby's here.. the reason I opted for natural was only because I am terrified of getting a needle that big in my back I've googled it and that alone terrified me which goes to show my pain tolerance isn't that great either haha.. you can do it believe me woman have been doing it since the beginning of time you will be fine! GOOD LUCK AND CONGRATS!
It's not that bad. I swear you forget all the pain when you hold your baby the first time. I should know lol. I went nine sand a half hours, no epidural, and my baby came out face up which caused killer back labor. But we came through it just fine and you will too. You have a lot of options as fast as pain relief should you choose to go that route. Congrats and good luck!
