thinking of breast feeding??
Hi moms today i tried to give my bby breast milk but he never latched on my nipple his 5 days old,, im planning to breastfeed but is it ok to take medications that my dr prescribed me to take when i got released from the hospital for pains i jst started taking the pill today n now im worried that if i give him breast its gonna harm him???
You need to ask your doctor or a pharmacist if the medication is safe before you try to breastfeed with it. Some medications can transfer into breast milk, even certain pain medicines, which can unintentionally sedate your baby among other things which are not good for baby. Some medications are safe to take while breastfeeding, but only your doctor or a pharmacist can tell you for sure.
