I'm from california and we get the pump provided by wic here, you should ask them at wic
I'm in Illinois and they're providing me with one. :)
Here in Arizona they do. Just gotta ask
But is it electric? BCUZ last year when I had my second son they told me it was a manual pump.
Here in houston, texas if you're on wic and willing to breastfeed they're willing to provide you with an electric pump and first time assistance on how it works. Here you do have to return the machine it's self, not the plastic attatchments
It's an electric machine their giving me. :)
I've heard they are willing to do it so women will breastfeed but Idk I don't want to call and ask until I have my appointment.
I'm in tn. My insurance covered me an electric breast pump. They sent me the ameda. My son was a preemie and in the nicu. I had to call the social worker and have her have the nicu dr write a script for it. Then she coordinated everything and finally got ahold of a provider in network. They shipped it to my house and I didn't pay anything. Idk how Wic works for bfing.
I'm hoping that I can get my ob to write a prescription for it. If so it will save me a lot of money. And help us a lot! My milk ran low at 2.5 months with my first and 3.5 months with my second. So I hope this time if I'm able to take something to supplement me and use a pump my third will be have more time on me rather than a bottle.
Here in Alaska they let you barrow a terrible one for a month, and after that month they will give you a nice one. Wic that is.
Oh and also fenegreak (sp?) Tea helps you produce more milk. :)
