Can an eye doctor really determine the sex of your baby??

Ok, so my sis is 16 weeks pregnant and her friend that works for an eye doctor said that he could look into her eyes and determine the sex of her baby.  Something to do with the tear ducts about how moist or dry they were that was affected by the hormones baby boys or baby girls affected.  He said she was having a boy and that he has only been wrong only one time.  She is totally excited b/c she already has two girls.  Has anyone had any experience with this before.  She gets her ultrasound on Monday so I am anxious to see if this is acurate.  Any input would be appreciated!
I will give an update after she gets her scan.

Eye doctors can detect certain things such as diabetes, pituitary and thyroid problems but not the gender of a baby.  I agree that he is probably going off of some old wive's tale and that the likelihood of him being right is 50/50.

My mom went to a doctor one time that told her what was wrong with her, medically, by looking into her eyes, but I've never heard of this before. I think he might just feel safe having a 50/50 chance of getting it right :)

Wouldn't it be nice if that were true? I would've visited my eye dr weeks ago!!! LOL.

Anytime I hear stuff like this I'm always skeptical! There is a 50/50 shot either way.

I think the eye doctor was going off of some old wives tale and it should not replace her having an u/s if she wants to know the sex. Maybe he is right and has always guessed correctly but it is just that, a guess.
