vent, crying over food:-(
Well the packers play tonight and hubby is having a friend over before the game, so I go to town and get food for dinner and game come home and start cooking. Well I got the guys big gay burgers and myself skinny ones cause I think the fat ones taste too meaty, I throw then all on the stove and obviously the skinny ones get done first, well I only bought 2 cause it was for me and hubby comes in the kitchen and asks if the food is done and I said no cause the fat burgers were still cooking and he says "no we feed guests first why should you eat first? Your still cooking" do I explained to him that don't like the big ones and they would be done in a few minutes if he could please just wait, so just to be rude he grabs my plate (my burgers were on MY plate on buns with cheese and ketchup already!) And puts them on separate plates and serves them to himself and his friend . So now i'm stuck crying while we have company cause I took the time to shop and cook for him and his friend and he just takes my food. I'm so pissed. Normally I wouldn't cry cause it's only food, but my heightened senses won't let me eat the big burger and my hormones make me extra upset.
I would have whacked his hands away with a metal egg flip. If he kept at it he would have gotten one to the head lol
Oh it would have been on! My hubby knows better than to **** with my food like that. Id of told him off AND Id of taken one of those meaty burgers and doused them in my fave toppings and taken it out there and been like "Sorry my husband couldnt wait - these were for you guys but instead he gave you the puny one. Theres one more big juicy one in the kitchen if you want it though. Afterall..." and Id of looked sickly sweet at my hubby for this "Guests come first." And then id of taken at least one bite just to **** him off. The rest could be tossed.
Ugh still no apology, cant wait for my mom to drop off my daughter so I can cuddle with her cause she is my best friend, it always makes me feel better when she is here playing with me and snuggling :-) cant wait for baby Parker to come so these hormones stop and we can all get back to normal. Lol
Omg that is so mean!!! I don't even know how I would have reacted, I wouldn't lick them because that grosses me out lol but I would deff be pretty pissed off for a while.
I would have punched my husband. Directly in the face. And eaten both the skinny burgers and given the others to the dog.
Lol darn wish I would have gotten angry instead of sad so I could have thrown his burgers at him and licked mine haha, but I did leave the 4 big burgers that I got for them on the stove only half cooked and still bloody, and when he finished MY skinny little burger and went back for more had to deal with the fact that I left the food there undercooked and bloody :-) oops.
The best thing to do is to just worry about the baby if he cant appreciate what you do then dont worry about it he'll start to miss it when you stop doing nice things like that for him..... give him some tough love
I would have thrown his burgers at him. That's not very nice of him to be a jerk like that. I would have licked my burgers so he couldn't take them.
That's how I get too, very light headed while cooking, especially red meats. And I thought he would appreciate me doing all this considering I just got taken off of bed rest yesterday but i'm still on"restricted actions" and am not allowed to do much, so I use up the limited amount of activity i'm allowed in one day on his selfish butt. And i'm on medicine that dramatically decreases my blood pressure to keep me from getting contractions, so being hungry makes it much harder for me to move around and do stuff and he knows that!
I would freak to do it when u were so kind and asked him not to is rude and uncalled for he should be helping make your life easier not making you cry just to prove a point
Im not gonna lie.... id be furious like hubby would be in the doghouse and his friend would have to leave lol he should appreciate what you did for him and his friend especially being pregnant things are harder as it is physically and emotionally. I cant cook meat or eggs the smell is just to much.
