Okay so my niece believes she is pregnant. Has taken 4 pregnancy tests that came back positive. I have taken her to the local women's center and they will not do an ultrasound to verify pregnancy nor do they do blood work here. She's been in once and taken a test which turned negative. She's sick every morning and has not has a period in 2 months. She's only 17 yrs with no insurance so I can't take her to my doctor. I'm just so frustrated because they won't do an ultrasound at all. I mean why have these clinics if they're not going to help people who need it? Obviously she's scared and doesn't want to tell her parents cuz they'll kick her out and she's been staying with me so we can get this figured out. I guess I'm just rambling and not making any sense but its really pushing my buttons. How is she supposed to get proper care if they don't want to check her properly? Its taken all I have not to cuss these women out. It's our third time here and they still won't do an ultrasound. I mean come on people! Ugh!!!!

Oh my goodness! Wow! Poor thing! In that case I wouldn't tell my parents either. What about the dad of her baby? Does he know? She's lucky to have you !

No her parents don't have insurance. I figured me saying she had no insurance implied that. And of course she knows they're going to find out, she isn't stupid. She just wants to wait til she has proper proof before getting thrown out of her home. And her birthday isn't until December so she just legally turned 17. Her blood results will come in tomorrow so Monday I know I can take and get her started on insurance and can set her up an appointment with a doctor. I've given her over the counter prenatals I take so at least she's getting something. She's already decided to take the brave step in choosing adoption for the baby so I know right now its hard on her. Especially since her doctor told her she would have a hard time conceiving at all. And also her parents don't care about her. They never take her to the doctor for anything or even to the dentist and that included the times when they had insurance. My parents raised her for 10 yrs cuz my brother was in jail and her mom took off and abandoned her and her siblings in a house for days before their neighbor decided to check in and call the cops. She hasnt exactly had the best life and I feel for her.

She's afraid to tell her parents? She realizes they are going to find out regardless right? Do her parents have insurance cuz if they do she's already covered right? I think she needs to tell them ASAP so she can get proper care and get the hard part out of the way they will get over it and if she's 17 legally they can't kick her out of the house anyways so do it now so they have time to calm down before she's 18 lol

Honestly you can just take here to the doctor to get i verified, most state insurances will cover the whole pregnancy which means they will cover the appointment you take her to to verify pregnancy once it is verified and she officially gets on the insurance.

She hasn't had her period since December 7th so she's got to be more than 8 weeks along by now. The nurse said they couldn't get any type of reading from her urine. I'm just going to take her to get a blood test done. It's going to be less of a hassle than dealing with these people over and over again.
