virginia+maybe 7 weeks pregnant+ smoking weed= child be taken away?

Well I havent had a period since april 30th, it never hit me until recently. I have been dealing with alot of family and personal problems and I think stress might be a factor. But me not being the type who has late periods from stress especially this long. maybe there might be a problem, well besides from that im not from virginia and i live with my fiance' and im not sure of the laws. all my friends that live here dont have children yet so they are no help. Does Va take your baby if you smoked weed? like do they test and find it and just up and take the baby? or do they tell you or what happens? this would be my first pregnany, but i dont want to stop smoking until i know for sure though that where my problem comes in at. because it could be stress and maybe i didnt ovulate for awhile and no period. symptoms i have/ had; hot flashes, needing more sleep, not much of a appetite change, frequent urination, mood swings, bloated belly under navel( sometimes its hard and bloated uncomfy like, other times its normal, mainly after i eat), my breast are swollen( tender for like a week in a half after my last period and disappeared right before my next cycle was supposed to come but didnt), pain during sex( when my fiance is on top of me i feel like bloated uncomfy fullness feeling), cramping feeling like im going to start bleeding but no blood, sometimes in the middle but alot on the left side. no real craving, no vomiting, only nausea when i am really thristy which i am all the time now. my nipples started off going dark but then turned lighter in color instead? well sorry for extra stuff just not sure if i should be worried that i could be pregnant and im waiting until july to see my doctor. just freaking out not sure if those are common symptoms in order to try to clean my system, or should i wait it out. does anyone know how Va laws work and how did they handle the situation?

Medicinal marijuana is far different from regular "street" marijuana. You cannot compare the effects of the two.

Sure its been studied knufro, on patients who have been prescribed marijuana for health reasons and until recently it had to be stopped due to the baby not having a choice in what the mother does, hun whether or seems like a good idea or, it's been studied and your wrong. And marijuana is non addictive so the child won't become more dependent because that addictive myth about Mary J has been debunked. Seriously I wouldn't ask this question on here, seems people are just stating their opinions and not actually looking into it before opening their mouths.

Honestly, i would quit just in case, not worth the risk. A study was very recently released on the effects on a fetus, and they are nothing good. It can mess around with the learning part of a fetuses brain, and who knows what else. No matter what, just the risk of something happening is not worth getting a buzz.

Its not good to smoke while pregnant. It deprives baby of oxgyen and increases their risk of future addiction and depndency. Its not the responsible thing to do

I know in VA they test the first stool sample. A girl in my family,  we live in VA, Just had her baby and his first stool came back positive for weed (idk how long she smoked for), and now CPS has to come out to the house and she's tested every so often.

Smoking marijuana during pregnancy has not really been studied due to obvious ethical reasons. Any "study" that may be out now is not a true scientific study and is just based off of what is found after the fact (which a lot of other factors could play a part in as well). It is proven though that THC affects developing brain cells of teens who smoke so I don't see why it'd be any different in a developing baby's brain. Baby will be tested at birth and remember although something clears your system is doesn't necessarily clear the baby's system in the same amount of time. Usually it takes much longer.
