should I be traveling

I know that at 36+5 I probably shouldn't be traveling, but my mom got diagnosed with thyroid cancer and she lives six hours away. I'd really like to see her thanksgiving just in case things go wrong. I'll be 37 weeks and I'll be gone for four days. My boyfriends family is giving me crap about leaving so close to my due date and telling me how pissed they'll be if I go into labor there. My boyfriend is supportive and understands the situation I'm in and told me he doesn't care.. I just don't know what to do.
My doctor also gave me the go ahead since I'm low risk and everything in my pregnancy has been fine.

I would go. I traveled at 33 weeks last pregnancy for over a week 10+ hours for a funeral.

Just go and make sure to stop and walk a few times. Plus, it is your mom and if dr said its okay then who cares if your bf's family gets mad.

Don't listen to them. Frankly, it's your mom, your baby  and none of their business. I'd be there in a heartbeat with my mom. No question. I find it disgusting and incredibly selfish for them to be saying anything. If your doctor gave you the go-ahead and your boyfriend understands, screw the rest of them and their opinions.

I would go too but I'd make my boyfriend come with just in case I did go into labor. Your mom is important :)

I'd go too. Is your bf going to just incase you go into labor. His family will have to get over it. My fiances family is acting the same way everytime I do anything with my family as though im not gonna let them see the baby. Your mother needs you and they need to understand that.

Who carea if his family will be pissed no offense but its your mom...you only get one! If it were one of them they would expect you to come. I think it'll be fine...if you go into labor there then that is how god planned for it to go :)
