watching childbirth videos

So i was curious and started watching videos of childbirth and i am surprised at the amount of pain women seem to be going through, despite the fact so many women go thru it. Obviously is is extremely painful but i am a first time mom and i really want to know what to expect. i know i can do it, i am pretty good with pain and staying calm in painful situations, but i dont want anyone to sugar coat it.. can anyone share their experiences about the worst part of childbirth?? i want to know what the worst and most painful part of it is.. is it contractions, pushing, certain parts of the baby coming out? thank u in advance for your responses

Mine was after delivery ....my labor and birth part went painful but pretty smoothly .....it was after my son was out and they massaged my belly to get my uterus or cervix or whatever to move back down ....that's what hurt me the most

The contractions when you get to transition stage  (7 cm) are extremely painful, you want to quite and give up, but before that its not to bad, and once you reach that point where you don't think you can do it anymore your pretty much done, its the quickest phase of labor.  The second worst is the ring of fire when pudding, but again its over in a second and then you will have your beautiful baby in your arms ( I've had the natural labors)

I was told by a l&d nurse that i work with not to hope for a quick labor. She said those are the scariest because it doesn't always leave enough time for all of the professionals i.e. Doctors, nurses, etc. To be in place at the right time so if there are any complications it could end badly. Not trying to scare anyone, just being realistic.

The contractions are terrible I thought I wasn't going to be able to do it. I was screaming at the top of my lungs. Threatening nurses, doctors, my step dad. My poor husband got the blunt end of it. But he was very good. Labor is horrendous. The worst pain you could possibly imagine times that by 10. That was with no epidural.

It hurts like crazy, but that is what pain relief is for :) personally I didn't have any because my labour was so fast so I didn't have time for an epidural, the contractions were the worst part for me, I found the pushing easier because I knew it was nearly over. All the pain is on your bum! Feels like it's going to explode haha! Im pregnant with my second now and find it scarier cos I know what to expect :p you'll be absolutely fine.

Honestly for me I had an epidural. So I basically didn't feel the contractions. It worked well. But the only parts I remember being painful were getting the baby's shoulders pulled out. And The nurse pushing on my stomach after I had the baby. Mind you I was 120 very small with a 9 pound baby. But the pushing was pretty fast I only did that for about 10 minutes and my daughter came right out!
