hip pain

Anyone else been having bad hip pain, especially at night & 1st thing in morning? Every night my right hip hurts so bad & pops & stuff every time I roll over & gets to the point to where I can't lay on it after a little while. Then when I get up in the mornings it's all I can do to walk. Is it from where my joints could be loosening up or what? I'm 36wks today.

It's called "relaxin". It's your body relaxing the ligaments in your hips and loosening your hip joints to prepare for your baby to come on out.
-I am almost 20 weeks and I have been having severe hip pain since 12 weeks. Sometimes it's a shooting pain from my hip down my right leg then other times it felt like my hip joints had arthritis or something. It was intense. I noticed that it was mainly when I would sit on the couch or lay down. It brought me to tears a few times. It also got to the point where I literally couldny straighten or put any weight on my leg.
-So I am currently going to a physical therapist and he has taught me about 6-7 stretches to do regularly and hip tilts to strenghthen your lower abdomen and back. Hip tilts are basically standing up straight and flexing your lower abs as if your doing a crunch and using your lower abs to tuck your hips foward.
-I would look up online on a few stretches that have diagrams for  hip stretching and leg lifts
-My physical therapist also said that PROPER POSTURE is KEY!! Try to be aware of slouching and dont sit to far back in seats and if u do u can roll a smaller towel and put it in the small of your back to support your back's natural curve.
-Also when u try to get into bed try going on all fours as if your a dog then gently go to your side and have a pillow between your legs.
-As for getting out of bed. Start on your side and try to keep your hips back and neck in a straigh line while using your arm closest to the bed to slowly push your seld up ro an up right position.  Then remember before standing up to flex your abs and tuck your hips as u slowly stand up.
-Have your bf, husband or a good friend massage the area also. That has been a HUGE help to me.

***Good Luck****

Omg I know what you mean.  I'm usually quite active but it's getting to the point where simply walking too much makes my hips and back hurt.  I feel like an old lady lol.  I'm only 25+wks and already wobbling.  Sorry I don't have a cure for it.  Maybe prenatal yoga?

My hips go yo sleep at night. Doesn't matter what side I lay on.  I have to roll about every hour,  Lol.  Even with two leg pillows.  Can't lay on my back either cuz if I do it takes what feels like years to get out of bed cuz it hurts my spine so badly.  I'm 33 weeks.  Nothing I've tried seems to help other then rolling.  Makes for a rough night of sleep.
