60% effaced and 4 days till my due date

I can't wait Im super excited hopefully I can see her soon :) any more January moms?

Basically your cervix looks a lot like the neck of a beer bottle prior to giving birth and needs to look more like the mouth of a mason jar.
It moves forward, it widens, and it thins during early and active labor.

Dilation refers to the widening of the cervix, whereas effacement refers to the thinning.

The station is where the baby's head is located in reference in the pelvis. When his/her head first descends it is at a -3 station and slowly makes it's way down -2 then -1 then 0. At zero, baby's head is located at the beginning of the vaginal canal. It then goes from 0 to 1 then to 2 and then to 3. At 3, baby's head is crowning and making it's way into the world :)

Effaced means the thinning of your cevix I believe

I have 9 days left as well! 50% effaced, -1 station, and 2 cm dilated! Lol. I'm ready!!!!
