what else to buy?

So I'm due in a week, I have all the basics: a bassinet, clothes, blankets, nappies, wipes, a bouncer etc. But.. I feel like I'm missing something. I look at all the baby gear and I don't get excited, I get anxious! Like... I'm missing something.

ALSO.... Buying boy themed things is really hard, its all so... Harsh! Black and dark colours. Maybe its just my hormones... Haha.

Any advice on what else I can buy before my boy is here?

I dont know where you are located but I'm in new york and when i go shopping for my baby boy i find alot of orange, blue, and green. No dark stuff. Lol ....but it does sound like you've got it together. ....

Start adding some color. Greens reds blues yellows.. all are boy friendly. Maybe all the dark stuff is making you depressed lol
Dreft: to wash all baby clothes before use
Bibs, Bottles, a Boppy Pillow if breastfeeding, swaddle Blanket, baby socks, diapers, & a carseat cushion for newborns,  keeps them snug in the carseat instead of all floppy.

Don't forget to consider the Dishwashing liquid for the Baby Bottles. Its recommended that we use Palmolive Baby Dishwashing liquid,  its Hypoallergenic and very safe for Babies. It removes Milk residue better than any thing on the market.

Milk residue is the hardest thing to get rid of

I'm having a girl, but you were saying its hard to find boy things that are of good color :) I went shopping at sears yesterday for my baby girl (a couple outfits) and they have cute items for boys ex: pack n play, high chair, walker, crib bedding in teal/dark blue with Wales on it ♥

Things I have for my little girl ( I'm 33 weeks + 4 days) are bassinet, extra bassinet sheets, I have a few diaper bags, and my husband has a dad diaper bag :) we have her crib, crib bedding, waterproof mattress cover, a extra sheet for crib, we have her clothes, burp cloths, washcloths, baby shampoo sets, swaddle blankets, regular baby blankets, receiving blankets, bottles, teething toys, bathtub, this new boppy newborn lounger, car seat and stroller, we have a glider swing, a bouncer, shoes, milk feeding bibs, diapers & wipes, we have dreft laundry soap, and we got the dreft cleaning wipes, and the dreft cleaning spray that's safe for use around babies, and we have pacifiers and I think that's all I can think of right now, a lot of the stuff you don't " need" but we got a lot of stuff at our baby shower (:

If u really think you're missing something,  I'm sure you can find a "list of things to prepare for a baby" online. And if you have everything on the list or have the basics covered, you're probably going thru nesting, just in a different way lol

Lol like you said it's hard to shop especially for boys. But it sounds like you have the basic things you need. You can get the rest when the baby gets there. Just make sure you have enough diapers and wipes.

It's such a strange thing... Buying all outfits and furniture and accessories for a tiny person whom I have never met. Haha :)
