I think every womans experience of child birth is different. I don't neccessarily think someone could honestly tell you because someone elses experience might have been different. I actually read an article where they asked over a thousand women about their experience not one was the same. I just hope you have a smooth delivery and recovery goodluck and don't stress it too much :)

My contractions started at 2 minutes apart.. they were horrible but they don't last! And I didn't even feel the epidural because I was so focused on the contractions. Just remember that it'll be over soon and you'll be holding your little miracle :)

Dont worry about the pain its my first too and all i keep thinking is they have to come out weather we like it or not and it doesn't last forever so dont stress if it was that bad no one would have more than one !!

That's ridiculous, telling you it's the closest feeling to death..and very dramatic. It's not that bad, at all, depending on your pain tolerance, you may or may not need the epidural, but either way it's a good pain, you're getting your baby out of it, and it sounds to me like they're trying to scare you. I recommend a birthing class so you can learn some breathing techniques and pain management, and go in there confident, not scared, good luck!

They both hurt. I had my first at 17 he is now 10 yrs old!! The epidural was scary but once in place I was numb from the waist down. My second son, now 6, the epidural wore off by the time I was ready to push. Not as bad as I thought. This baby, finally a girl!!!! Iam opting no epidural. We have been having babies for thousands of years epidurals didn't exist then and women made it. As you sd you hate pain the epidural is worth it. I have a high pain tolerance so think I will be fine without one.
