I have my first appointment with wic today. What should I expect?
It's pretty easy. They ask you questions about your income, ask questions about your personal health choices, weigh you, prick your finger, and then hand you your vouchers. They will explain how it all works though. Its simple. Make sure you bring forms of ID and proof of address and everything too though. And income if you have any. They will ask for all of that.
The finger prick is what I was worried about lol I know that's silly considering what I will soon be going through.
I had to fill out some paperwork, talk about my income and how much we spend on bills, and talk to a nutritionist. They also checked my iron and weight. Then I got the vouchers. That was it (:
In Arkansas they prick your finger check your blood pressure, ask you questions and give it to you.
