when do you start packing for the hospital?

@op. Welp I gave you an idea of what I packed for me. As for baby, it depends if your hospital provides anything. I dunno if mine does, but I have had her diaper bag packed for normal toting and just added the going home outfits. But what I do have in their is the outfits. Two pairs of socks, and one pair of fuzzy warmer socks. 4 thin blankets, either for cover or receiving spit up. 2 thicker fuzzy blankets. Diapers and wipes in a wipe travel case. Nursing cover, nipple sheild, and a ziplock baggie of nursing pads. A ziplock baggie of travel sized baby shampoo, soap, and lotion. Also travel sized baby powder, a tube of a&d (butt cream), and a tube of baby sunblock. You'll want to have the vehicle thats taking you home equiped with the carseat, my hospital said to bring a boppy pillow if breast feeding, I'm going to breastfeed but not take mine. It also says to take entertainment things, a camera or video recorder. (These are all optional) and of course any paperwork or identification forms your hospital might need. Google some other lists and talk to your doc and see if they'll provide you a list.

My hospital provides a list of what to pack. We packed at 29wks because I never go full term.

Depends if your packing for you and just baby, or your partner as well, also if your hospital provides anything for baby. But what I have in my bag (I packed for me and my husband). A lil shower bag with travel size soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Travel sized deaoderant for me and him, travel sized tooth brushes and tooth paste and a razor for each of us, and lip balm. I packed some pads in a ziplock baggie, two pairs of undies for me (in case I bleed through one) , warm fuzzy socks and slippers. A nursing bra will be added soon. My pajama pants (I will wear em my hospital stay and wear them home) a large shirt and a robe. For my husband I packed him fuzzy socks and a regular pair, two shirts, one to sleep in and abother to change if he wants. A pair of jeans, and boxers. I also packed him a blanket and a towel (I heard hospital towels are crappy.) And will add his pillow and pajama pants when needed. For baby I have her diaper set for everyday and just gonna take it with me. So I added her going home outfits (one newborn size and another 0-3 months) and a ziplock baggie of nursing pads and a nipple shield.

Im packing at 27-28 weeks(currently 24 weeks) cause my first was born at 37 weeks and i had nothing packed. If everything goes planned this one will be born at 39 weeks, planned csection.
