when is it safe to become pregnant again after a c-section?

Two weeks and one day ago I delivered a 7lb 5 oz baby girl at 35 weeks gestation by cesarian section. Sadly, we lost our little girl to serious complications we had no idea about due to false ultra sound reports. My husband and I have been seeing a grief counsellour and are also being counselled by our family physician, and we would really like to try again once it is safe. Two drs have told me that it is definantly safe at 3 months, but I've been reading on here that other women in similiar positions have been told any time after 6- 8 weeks. I was just hoping to get some more insight.
