when to go tk the hospital

My contractions are only around 30-45 seconds long

2-3 minutes apart.

Have lasted like this for over an hour

I just had my bloody show in the toilet

And I got crazy diarrhea that cleaned myself out.

I know I'm going to wait to see if its like this for a couple more hours but how long should my contractions be?

Good luck both of you! I've been having consistent (every fifteen minutes) contractions for almost a week now! I'm not big on vaginal exams but if I'm still pregnant by my appointment on Monday I'll be asking my midwife to check me. I'm hoping baby just decides to come out already though! I've been drinking raspberry leaf tea and my poor nipples have been stimulated within an inch of their lives! (This coming from someone who breastfed for more than a year!)

@Erica I'd say go in if they continue to last an hour - an hour and a half.

I'm getting ready to jump in the shower. I'm acting like today is my last day of being the cutest girl in the house.

I had the same thing, my contractions only lasted for like 45 secs and 2 to 4 mins long but I went to the hospital after a hour of that and I was 6 cm dilated

My doctor told me 1 minuet to a minute 30 long and 5 minutes apart.

I'm in the same boat as you contractions for 2 and a half hours now. At first they were averaging about 8 minutes apart lasting about 15-45 seconds. Now they are about 2 minutes apart lasting about 30+ seconds.

I was worried I wouldnt be able to recognize the difference between Braxton hicks and contractions. These feel wayy different. Pain rather then a tickle or discomfort.

My last appt my doctor said they had to last like 60-90 minutes and be super strong. They really hurt but I can talk through them. I'll be giving them a call around 8-9 if it continues. I just wanted to make sure how long its suppose to last because they only go from 30-45 seconds and a few times only 20-25 seconds.

I think you should call your doctor. They say to go in when they're 5 minutes apart
