when to try??

Ok so Hubby and I (if not already Pregnant) we are going to try to get pregnant. I want to get pregnant like july/August so I'd have a april/May baby. When exactly should i start trying?? And how do i know when im fertile or ovulating and my best time to try and concieve? I usually get my period around the  9th of every month... last month it wa son the 14th... and im off the pill now so could change. Please dont use all the abbreviations lol i wont know what they m,ean!!!!! thanks!

OMG thats too funny! I wanted an April/May baby too!! I practically planned my life around it and it was working out great...I got Pregnant in September and was due May 28th...unfortunately I had a M/C....so we're TTC again and I told hubby that I can't wait until the summer to try again so we're trying now! But if you want an April baby, conceive in August and if you want a May baby conceive in September. Which means your last Period will either have to be in July or August. Good Luck, I really hope it works out for you!!
And like the other ladies said, you usually Ovulate 14 days after your Period. I feel slight Cramping and get the clear stretchy mucous...so thats how I know. Or when August and September come rolling around just have sex every other day!
I still would love a Spring/Summer baby but I am getting so impatient! Maybe with my second we will plan it like that again.

Gotcha!  I thought that you wanted to HAVE the baby in winter....I'm not too sharp sometimes!  LOL  Yeah, DH and I have been paying off bills like mad lately as he's going to quit his job and start his own business next month!  Makes me nervous...esp. if I get a BFP this month!

I want to be pregnant like july/august to have a May/June baby... so I wouldn't be pregnant for the summer again. We also are giving a little time to make sure we r doing good and on track financially. (Hubby recently got laid off) So we are getting back on track and giving it a couple of months.

k24stardust - If you're planning a winter pregnancy, I would start now....If you were to get pregnant this month the baby would be due in Nov....which I'm not sure where you live, but around here it's already winter....It took me 5 months to get pregnant the 1st time (ended in M/C) and have been trying again for 3 months now.....Sometimes it takes a while......Something like this is pretty hard to plan, but I would think that if you started now there would be a good chance of you delivering in Nov-Dec-Jan-Feb

Thanks Ladies! And Kelly Thanks for the Pregnancy/online lingo! hehe!  I dont know how long it will take me to get pregnant. It will be my second child. I dont wanna start tryign to early or start to late and then it take forever, because i am tryign to plan a winter pregnancy this time... i know we cant all get exactly what we want lol. I mean is it a good shot if i try when i should be most fertile? So I should wait until then to try?

hi. from what I understand, and most everyone agrees, count 14days from DAY1 of your last menstrual cycle, and that is your most fertile day. For example, if you start your period on March 1st, then you are most fertile on March 14th and 15th, somewhere in there... Hope this helps...   =) Good Luck!

Go to www.babymed.com and use the fertility calander....It helps you figure out what goes on and when...esp. when you first start TTC.  It flat out tells you what days to have sex, and what day you will potentially ovulate.

TTC- Trying to Conceive
BD- Baby Dance (Sex)
CD- Cycle Day (start on the day that you get your period as CD1 and go from there)
CM- Cervical mucus
DPO - Days Past Ovulation
DH - Dear Husband
DD - Dear Daughter
DS - Dear Son
