14 weeks and my family wants me to get an abortion

First let me start off by saying I just need to vent.. I'm 25 with a one year and current 14 weeks with a girl(hopefully that doesn't change)... My mom flipped out when I finally told her and is saying how Could I be selfish to my son and he's going to struggle... The biggest issue is the father is not currently working, that I understand any mother would be upset but to say get an abortion or give her up for aboption I'm baffled, hurt and pissed off all in one... Again i just needed to vent

At the end of the day you have to do what is  best for you. If you feel like you can handle another baby, by all means enjoy it. But if you don't think you will  be able to give that baby and your son a good quality of life then the other options are there for you to think about. If I was in your situation I would write a pros and cons list and make sure I think really hard about all aspects of every decision. Good luck and stick  to your guns, if you want this baby then don't let anything stop you.

My mom said the exact same thing but I put my foot down for the first time and now she's excited to be a grandma. Hope it works out for you :)

I'm sorry to hear that, no one has the right to suggest you aborting your baby because it's just that YOUR baby. You will be the one taking care of the baby not your mother, I get how she could feel worried for you and your son but you are a grown woman and its your body. I completely understand you feeling hurt...I'm sure that wasn't easy to here from your mother. Keep your head up for your new bundle of joy, I wish you the best of luck!

That's what I've been doing, I've had m/c history and I feel like if I'm going to be blessed with another healthy baby and pregnancy why give me a hard time

Yeah screw that. Don't worry girl! Your life Nd your kids! I have a 6 yr old, 9 month old, and expecting #3! I saw a funny card on Facebook today and it's so true: "Naysayers gonna Naysay!" haha like haters gonna hate! :)

Parents can do amazing things when they want to be able to provide for their children. If you want to keep your baby, keep your baby. The father can get a job....there is time to make it happen. A lot of people struggle but they make it work. Do what you think is right but not influenced by others.

Sweety its your life! Shrug it off! Sometimes mothers can say the most hurtful things. It will work out.
