working out and staying fit in pregnancy

Anybody routinely workout on a regular basis? I'm 5 weeks tommorrow and I'd like to start a workout regimen and eat alot healthier. Any tips or concerns I might need to know? Thanks! :)

I used to be extremely active to the point where it was unhealthy and caused alot of medical issues. It's been a few years since and I've toned it down alot.
I do think it's better to work out while pregnant even if you didn't before since all it will do it help you in the long run if you do it safetly.

Walking is great for your baby and for the health try doing that and drink plenty of water so you wont feel natious. Eat a banana before you walk so you can have energy. I walk and so far I feel like im not even pregnant. I am 9wks prego

I agree ^ I use to do Pilates daily. Ran at least a mile two days a week. Once I hit 5 weeks I had no engery just constantly had morning sickness and slept all day and night.

Look into pregnancy work out apps I found one I forgot the name but it was really cool had different workouts for different trimesters

Most Drs. say to keep it at a level you were capable of handling before pregnancy and stop if you feel you need to stop. You may find it difficult to eat well and exercise soon if morning sickness, and fatigue kick in. I was working out at a minimum 4 days a weeks and once I got to about 7 weeks I couldn't handle it anymore. Just try to stay active as much as you can handle.

Thanks! I used to be fairly active until I had major hip surgery the past year. I'm perfectly healthy now, I just know it's way easier to bounce back after the babies born if you stay active.

Definitely don't over do it, do what your body can handle. Take breaks. And stay extremely hydrated
