7 days ..

7 days till my due date so I had some questions about the big day to help ease my nervousness a bit... 1.) How long after your vaginal or c sectioned birth does the hospital let you shower? And is it private or does someone watch you? 2.) Since its winter, how many blankets should I bring for the baby? 3.) Does the weight pressure of the baby go away right away after birth? 4.) They haven't checked the weight of my baby since I was 28 weeks, will they tell me another estamite before the babies born or no. 5.) If the baby goes past my due date, how long till your able to induce?6.) My mom told me after you give birth a preacher comes in the room to pray. I want the preachers prayers but I think I'd feel awkward if he's reading out if the bible, on his knees ect. In my room and I don't want to be disrespectful. What do I tell him?

I got to shower as soon as my epidural wore off as many times as i wanted the two days i stayed. Nobody watched me, but a nurse did have to watch me take my first pee since i had an epi but more to make sure i din pass out or anything weight pressure does go away but my vajj was sore but they give u tucks,a lil squirt bottle, and this foam stuff which is like amazing and hemmeroid cream, pads and undies. My son was born last month n i took 3warm blankets n 3receiving you probably wont get an estimate of baby weight unless you get another ultrasound. Which they rarely do unless its medically necessary and my doc wouldn't let me go over 40wks he set up induce dates at39 weeks he is a private doc tho an very busy so i think that's why. But u can go up to 42 WKS before being induced and i have never heard of a preecher coming in unless it was requested. Good luck to you i hope you have a fast n easy labor ( :

Oh ya but when i showered there was a nurse in the room i could call if i needed any help!!!

I got to shower right after birth with my first and the next morning with my second and i showed by myself they gave me a stool to sit on while i showered! As for blanket i brought about 4 recieveing blankets and 2 extra warm ones for going home! The weight pressure was gone after birth but my vay jay jay was in pain quite a bit so i was still a little uncomfortable anyways!!! They didnt estimate babys weight at all dor me sometimes the nurses will guess though and the max they will let u go over due is 2 weeks they induced me with my second 8 days after my due date and as for the preacher i never had one come in i always thoight u had to arrange that before baby was born!!!
