advice

My mother in law is trying to shove breast feeding down my throat. I am going to be recieving Wic and if you mention breast feeding they won't give you formula at all. With my first son I had a lot of trouble with breastfeeding. Formula here is 20 dollars a can any where you go. I want to breast feed but I am not going to be staying at home I will be going back to work. I am so aggravated about it. Also  I was looking into ways to naturally start labor and they (my in laws ) jumped down my throat about it.

Thanks ladies I really needed this! I have been so upset about it. They are getting on to me because I am being induced. My body don't understand what to do I guess. I was ready to push with my first and my water never broke.

I learn to just listen what they say but when the time comes do what ever you want to do. Its your baby not theirs..I have the same problem but with my mom. I stop arguing with her and said OK mom I hear u. I will think about it. As the wic office tell them u not going to breast feed. I'm on wic too. I told them I'm not breast feeding. That I'm going to back to work. Just remembered you are the mother and it your choice not theirs. That your baby you carrying. Don't let nobody make u feel bad about your choice.

I couldn't breastfeed due to having surgery after i had my daughter. Formula is very expensive but WIC is great. They save us almost $200 a month on formula!  Do what's right for you. You're not a bad mom if you don't breastfeed. I hate women who look down upon formula feeding. My daughter is healthier than all the kids I know that are being breastfed. It's your choice momma. If you wanna give your baby the breastmilk, you can always just pump and feed your baby through a bottle.

You could also try to pump.

I breast fed with my first and still got wic. If you tell them you're strictly breast feeding no they won't give you any. You tell them that your doing both. In laws are such a hassle when it comes to pregnancy.  Just let them know it's your baby and their opinions don't really matter
