How long can a preemie stay in the hospital?
I just was wondering. Like I've heard sometimes doctors decide on treating a preemie but like if it takes longer than 6 months for a preemie to get out of the hospital will they have to stop treating them or what?
You might also check with your health-insurance provider. Sadly, some health insurance "tops out" after a certain dollar figure is spent on someone's treatment. Not all do, and the level at which they will stop paying is very high (like, a million dollars) but you should check if you are facing a prematurity question.
