Erection during ultrasound on my testicles

Hello, yesterday I went into the ER because my right testicle was hurting bad.  I was examined by a male doctor and female nurse before the ultrasound no problem..  however when I had the ultrasound performed(by a lady) I started to get a erection shortly into the experience. It was embarrassing but she never mentioned anything. However my question regards to something that was done during the procedure. While my penis was erect she began rubbing the device up and down the shaft of my actual penis... she never gave me any warning before doing so, she just kinda began slowly moving her way up there until she was going up and down my penis.... Was she taking scans of my penis as well? I'm just really confused because I went in there for pain in my right testicle and was supposed to only have a ultrasound on my testicles... if there are any doctors or nurses out there with experience in this field please let me know your thoughts on my experience... was she completely unprofessional or was her actions justified for whatever reason I may not know?
