MRI findings

My doc is out of town for two weeks. Looking for someone that can interpret my wrist MRI findings. Went in with ulnar side wrist pain. No x-ray findings. Here are the MRi results-
1. mild thickening and increased signal of extensor carpi ulnaris tendon just beyond the ulnar styloid as well as distally toward the hamate.
2. small amount of fluid is seen along the tendon sheath of the extensor carpi radialis as well as distally along the flexors of the middle finger at the metacarpophalangeal joint.
3. small amount of fluid in the metacarpophalangeal  joints, diffusely. Nonspecific.
4. Focal sclerosis at the ulnar base of the lunate, nonspecific with intact triangular fibrocartilage.

Your doctor should have the results when you return and we should defer to the report and what your doctor will discuss with you.  However, based on your description, there are several findings related to the tendons that could suggest inflammation under the proper clinical context.  Again must emphasize that your doctor knows your history best and should therefore give you the best diagnosis.
