What that means is that by ultrasound, they see an area which is likely the "small lump" in your mid thigh which they are not sure what it is by ultrasound appearance. "Hyperechoic" means it looks "bright" or more "white" in color on the images and what this means is that it could be scar tissue or a bruise (at time of your scan).
However, given that you are still having this lump, I recommend you follow-up with your doctor and also get the "follow-up as recommended" to see if the "small lump" has changed in anyway on at least ultrasound. Your doctor may choose to do other imaging tests such as an MRI and you should consider inquiring about an MRI if he or she thinks it would be useful in your case.

Thank you for answering my questions. I will definitely inquire about an MRI because the possibility of this being scar tissue or bruise is highly unlikely because i have never had injury, trauma or surgery to this leg. Thanks again for your input.
