Can infection get inside of cells?

Has anyone ever hard of an intracellular infection?  Can a bacteria or virus get inside the cells?  Can it be detected wih a CBC or MET test?  All my tests were normal except for an LDH test (227 U/L), and an alpha 1 globulin test (.25 gm/dl).  The doctor said he doesn't know, and wants me to get the same tests in six weeks.  I feel ill and very exhausted all the time, and get sleepy a lot.  My muscles hurt and get sore and hard to move when I use them.  And I am getting worse all the time.  I heard about an intercellular infection, and wonder if anyone knows how it is diagnoseed, and what causes it?  I hope someone reading this knows about this...

I am not a doctor, but I do know that all forms of bacteria, viruses, etc. not only live but thrive in an acidic environment.
If you were to cut out all forms of sugars (which are highly acidic and feed those nasty microorganisms) and eat lots of green veggies, your body will become more alkaline, and many health problems will virtually disappear.
I cured myself of a very serious bacterial lung infection the doctors didn't know what to call, and my healing process began when I read the book "The pH Miracle" by Robert O. Young, PhD.
I know it's hard to change your diet, but the desire for being cured is a great incentive.
Best of luck to you.

Thank you for telling me this. I have not posted in a while and just got back to this post for your answer.  I have been passed around between doctors these last two months.  I asked one doctor to order an H.PYLORI test for stomach ulcers because of severe stomach pain and it was positive for antibodies to H.PYLORI. I have been taking a prescription for PREVPAC.  The doctor also ordered a blood culture test (I asked for this too) and he said the result was negative (NO GROWTH AFTER 4 DAYS).  Aren't they suppossed to culture blood longer than 4 days..especially for Lyme Disease?
My questions:
1-Why didn't the H.PYLORI show up in the culture?
2-Was the culture grown long enough to find an intracellular infection?
3-Would an intracellular infection cause me to feel ill, all the time?

I also had a positive RAJI test for circulating immune complexes, and the doctor said it could mean autoimmune disease, infection or cancer...but he did not find out what!
Thank you, - jean.

There are numerous bacterial infections that are intracellular; Mycoplasma, Chlamydia, Coxiella, Brucella, Borrelia, legionalla and of course viral diseases. Some of these are typically difficult to culture but there are methods like PCR available.
