Hi,
How are you? Are there other symptoms present? Overactive sweat glands that can lead to hyperhidrosis can be primary (cause is unknown) or secondary ( as a result of another medical condition) in nature. There are a number of tests that can be done such as starch-iodine test, paper test and additional diagnostic tests ruling out other medical conditions. .
Treatments may include antiperspirants, medications such as anticholinergics drugs, and procedures such as iontophoresis, botox injections, and Endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy (ETS). Have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and best regards.
Hello,
This can be due to hyperhidrosis skin which causes excessive sweating of the face. It may be due to part of an underlying condition like Hyperthyroidism or similar endocrine diseases. Excessive sweating in the face can result from an overactive sympathetic nervous system, sometimes due to substance abuse.
I think getting a thyroid profile tested in the lab may help and also please consult a dermatologist to find out the confirmatory diagnosis as treatment depends on the same.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
