High cortisol, not cushings.

I have just had some blood tests and a stim test and I have high levels of both eiosinophils and cortisol (cortisol was already elevated at the beginning of stim test and then spiked even higher). I don't have any symptoms of Cushings. I'm female, 5'4" and 125-130 lbs. My symptoms are: extreme fatigue, excessive daytime sleepiness, insomnia, major depressive disorder, chronic dry eye, sabopsoriasis, mild sleep apnea, low blood pressure, occasional lymph node swelling (generalized), night sweats, and I sometimes break out in hives or cold sores due to stress. When I'm sick I almost always get a sinus infection (ever since I had an appendectomy in 2000). I don't have any antibodies for Sjogren's, and treatments for Fibromyalgia have been unsuccessful. Any ideas?

But you do have the symptoms of Cushing's! Just because you don't have weight gain (not everyone does) does not mean you don't have it - it means your doctor is not an expert. One does not have to have all the symptoms. My BP was low and I did not gain weight for years. My largest issue was the same as yours - poor healing and sick all the time. You may be cyclical/episodic if your testing comes out strange.

I would find a doctor that knows what they are doing as you do in fact have it - high cortisol is Cushing's.
