Multiple Diags, symptoms, Many DR's No help

I'm at the end of my rope, I have seen Family, endocrinologist, Rhumotoligist (sp), alternative medicine, Neurologist, neurosurgeon,Cancer doctor, tried Physical therapy, water aerobics, massage, acupuncture, many different meds all with no help. My symptoms have been going 10 years. Symptoms - Headache 24/7, chest pain, dizzy, bone pain (shins, shoulders, back, hips, forearms, knees, neck) my joints catch, my heart feels like it skips a beat. The pain is to the unbearable stage, I dont have any good days anymore.

Every DR. gives me a different guess I do have Histiocytosis X, then I've been told arthritis, fibormyagia, and inter-cranial Hyper-tension. None of the doctors seem to care that things are worse, not getting better, and they won't listen. I dont know what else to do, and the doctors don't point me in any direction. PLEASE HELP.

hi, have u been on any particular med for a long period of time (many years)?
have u tried using vacation to go "cold turkey"?
have u tried SSRIs or SNRIs as some r prescribe for nueropathy pain in Diabetics who have nerve damage and regular pain meds may make things worse?

You can rant as much as you want, I understand your frustrations, I wish the medical field was more productive and helpful and look at the body as a hole because everything is connected and we have to many specialists who only know one area of the body and don't understand other areas. I also wish doctors would listen and take poeple seriously. But we are stuck with a crappy medical systems for now anyways. I am sorry you have to go through all this, its not fair for you or anyone who goes through this because unfortunately you are not alone.  I really hope you get some relief from this pain soon.

I take Morphine and percoset, just to get out of bed and go to work, on good days thats all I need on most days I have to take a second dose of both to make it through the afternoon. I take sleeping pills to help me sleep 2-3 hours a night, and a pill to help with headaches that never takes it below a pain level of 3 out of 10.  The bad thing is before this started I played several sports, and coached my kids sports teams, I loved to hike several times a year, now I just do what I can to get to work so I can pay my bills and raise my girls.

The most frustrating thing is I keep trying, Like this last DR. I went to I searched for 6 months to find one who knew about Histio (rare ) Before my appointment, I got all my tests all the results, and wrote him a note explaining and begging him that at my appointment just please listen to whats been going on , and what I have been told and look at the whole picture, then have a talk with me.  His 4th year student spent 2 hours with me and was great, listened, took notes, asked questions, left the room for 5 min, came back in with the DR. and he wouldn't listen to me or his student. The Student looked horrified. I truly wish I could find a Doctor House. He portrays and @$$ but at least he cares, I haven't found one Dr. except my Primary that will listen, but I truely believe he is just lost in what I have because its so rare.

I've gone on enough again. Thanks for the good wishes,

Sheri
