How to successfully treat superior limbic keratoconjunctivitis

I have been struggling with SLK for 4 years, have seen many eye doctors and have tried every eye drop known to man.  Have my lower puncta's cauterized and have had silver nitrate brushed across the back of both eyes.  Now am taking 1% cyclosporin, which burns like fire for about a minute.

Question - has anyone had success in treating this miserable condition?  I am so discouraged as feel the photophobia and gritty feeling in my eyes is never going to go away.

Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the quick response.  No treatment plan (meds/procedures) thus far have worked. I think my immune system is pretty good - am healthy!  No tonsils or GI problems!
Thanks

do u take or have tried the meds that make the eye produce more tears

u take a immune suppressant 1% cyclosporin although I did not look up dosage but why the silver nitrate brush and did it make a difference and how long does it last

how is your immune system (the part that is in your gut) do u have G.I. problems

do u still have tonsils (your 1st immune introduction)

do u notice a difference if u suddenly go into a cold area like a grocery store standing by the open freezers

. .                   .. good luck
