In pain, please help!

Will try & make this quick! Have been unwell now for 2 months! Was admitted to hospital with severe headache & papilledema. Had ct scan=normal, mri=normal was diagnosed with benign intracranial hypertension & put on diamox & sent home! Headaches eased still had neck ache, went back for check up bout 1 week later, on eye exam still had papilledema, had lumbar puncture next day to test pressure & relieve. Pressure was surprisingly low (docs words). Was sent home, doc phoned next day said he had been consulting with a neurologist & they had decided that this was not BIH so i was told to stop taking diamox. Had a test at opthalmologist (which im still waiting results from) think it was an eye angiogram! Now my headache is fine, my eyesight is still not 100%, iv since developed a bad pain in my left leg which is worsening, i was putting it down to the LP, but now im having this constant excruciating pain in the lower left side of my abdomen, just inwards from my hip also radiating round to my lower back & left leg. Im living on strong pain killers! I cant get into doc until next week, iam also waiting to see a neurologist! Could this new pain be caused by the LP or do you think it is related to whatever else is going on! Ive always been a pretty healthy person, no real health troubles before! I had kidney stones (nephrocalcinosis) during my last pregnancy, if the pain was in that location id nearly think it was that again thats how bad its getting! Should i just keep taking my pain killers & ride it out until i see my doc next week or should this be investigated sooner! Any advice appreciated as iam at my wits end!

Thanks for reply! I asked my doc if she thought it was sciatica, she did a few movement tests & she thinks its not a nerve problem but more related to the other problems iam having! She got me into the neurologist last week & he agreed. He did some blood tests to check for clots (apparently clots can cause papilledema also) & I have got to go back in 2 weeks & have a CT scan of chest & abdo & another MRI of the brain! Im pretty freaked out as to whats goin on! At least they are being thorough which is excellent!

sciatica?that does radiate down from the hip into the leg, I ahve heard it clears by itself after a few weeks possible anti biotics have helped ask your Doc and go into the search engine and put in sciatica see if it sounds like that. Good luck
