Resistant Oral Yeast Infection - Please Help!

I am DESPERATE for a resolution to this. I'm supposed to cycle back to the states to get married in two months, please help me get rid of this before then!!! I have tried everything I can possibly think of and it just won't go away!!!

About 6 months ago, I went to a doctor regarding 2 irritating, small, thin white patches on the sides of my tongue (where my teeth touch my tongue) near the back of my mouth.

At this time, I asked the doctor to test me for all STDs & Diabetes - all tests came back negative. I also had a CBC done, and there was nothing out of the ordinary.

I told the doc that I thought it was an early thrush infection. He disregarded it.

About 2 months later, another doc put me on antibiotics for several weeks. It was at this time that my small case of thrush became a full blown monster.

Since then, I have been on ketoconazole 3x, I am currently finishing my 3rd cycle that has lasted nearly 1 month. I have gone through 2x 10day nystatin suspension every 4-6 hours (while on ketoconazole). I started taking acidophillus pills, garlic pills, apple cider vinegar pills, rinsing with organic apple cider vinegar. I take a probiotic mint twice each day after brushing my teeth. I take a vitamin D supliment every 3 days. I am currently on day 2 of applying Gentian Violet twice daily (though I think that I will increase it to 3-4x daily). For the last 2 months, I have eaten nothing but grilled chicken, beef, or turkey and cucumbers and/or broccoli with water.

Everything I try just seems to suppress it (if that), but not make it disappear... please note that it has never gone away completely, it always comes back.

I rub the white coating away, and it just comes back an hour later...

Did you solve your problem?

I had also some irritating taste buds in the front of my tongue (where my teeth touch my tongue). It has been 45 days and they don't heal. I think it's better now, but is certainly not OK.

I went to my GP and she ran a series of blood tests. CBC, Hepatitis, everything came back normal. I also had an HIV test around the same time, which was Negative. However, an oral swab for candida was positive. I am just in my mid 30s and not, I was not in antibiotics.

My doctor gave me fluconazal 50mg for one week. It did nothing. She then refereed me to an infectologist. She looked at the irrirated taste buds and said this is a local problem and gave me a liquid to gargle and a "tinctura gingivalis" for the taste buds. She said I should have NOT been offered fluconazal as it's very strong medication and is only for generalized candida and this was only a local problem. She told me if the problem persists, I should go to the Dentist.

Went to the dentist in the morning and he said the white tongue I have "is not suspicious" and he told me the irritated taste buds may heal if I have a general teeth cleaning (I had one just a few months ago).

I would like to look for another opinion. Who could help with this? An ENT doctor?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
How are you? Try to relax and avoid stressing your self too much. Sometimes, stress can trigger recurrent attacks. There are also systemic diseases in which oral Candida infections are more prevalent such as diabetes mellitus, hypothyroidism, hypoadrenalism, and Sjogren’s syndrome. You may also try to look on the other conditions to be ruled out since you were cleared with diabetes and thyroid problems already.  Dietary folate or iron deficiencies, decreased salivary flow and high carbohydrate diet are also implicated. Continue your medications as prescribed. Taking lacto bacillus acidophilus may also help. Take care and do keep us posted.

Hi,
Sounds like you're doing everything! If you're open to alternative treatments I have no doubt that a system called Advanced Cell Training could resolve this. You can learn more at lymefree.com. I hope this helps.
