Tuberculoses scar tissue

My wife had tuberculosis when she was 24, and took some type of medication for 2 years.  She was "cured" but the doctor told her she would have problems when she was older from scar tissue on her lung[s?].  She has had increasing problems from fatigue, difficulty breathing, etc. as she has gotten older [now 68].  Her internist has tried asthma medications, etc., but nothing has really helped.  She is also taking medication for high blood pressure.  Is there any type of test or treatment option which we could investigate?  Any medical units or physicians who might specialize in this type of problem

Hello Norm11
This could be a reactivation of the older lesion of tuberculosis. How long has she been suffering? Was the course of the earlier TB completed? Is there any cough and sputum in the current situation? There could be also a possibility of the associated asthma as a comorbid condition.
Kindly consult a chest physician.
