Hello everybody. I need a second opinion. I experience everyday trigeminal neuralgia like pain attacks in my head and face on the left side. It all started around Christmas time. I had fever everyday , torticolis, mild ptosis and headaches on the left side- they were severe but not even close to these ones now. That took for some time and I was undiagnosed until they thought i had sinusitis and gave me 4 weeks of antibiotics- but on the end they said it was probably not sinusitis. Three months later i did an MRI of the brain and cervical spine, and angiography. I had no diagnose but i did some more blood tests, eeg,... nothing showed anything except a very small cyst in the choroid plexux in the brain. I had mild ptosis on my left eye, and was a little falling to the back in romberg test. They checked my thyroid and its slightly very slightly not ok, so i dont need any medication. That took on till about 14.th march when everything stopped. I had no fever, i wasnt tired, ptosis was already gone. Two, maybe three weeks I was completely healthy. Then around 5th of april i was in the car and i got such a strong headache that also is on the face that felt like an electroshock. (only on the left side and went away after about a minute.
I had around 2-3 such ''attacks'' a day. Now they got worse. I have around 20 a day, every day. Dentists had me checked-everything ok. A new mri i didnt go to. I got some medications because they think its trigeminal neuralgia but now they search for a cause.- acupuncture doesnt work on me (i had 10 therapies, b-komplex doesnt work on me, I had some more medications but they also do not show any effect. About a week ago my lumbal part of the spine started to hurt on touch (if that has to do anything with all of this) and one day in the evening my left leg felt strange-something like heavy and i had little (shingles i think its called- like ants) but i went to sleep quickly because i was tired- pain in the leg didnt occur again. Thats about it. I am waiting for another neurologist in about 2 weeks. Does anyone think it could have to do anything with the spine?
